Glossiness is a physical quantity that evaluates the ability of light to reflect the surface of a material under a set of geometrically specified conditions. In order to conduct accurate measurement, my country has established a national benchmark for gloss at Shanghai Institute of Metric and Testing Technology (SIMT). Glossmeter manufacturers must establish stable, complete and accurate standard devices, and the quantity transmission of standard devices must come from national benchmarks. The standard device then passes the gloss metric to the working gloss meter. The so-called working gloss meter is a gloss meter with two working plates used by users. The working gloss meter is divided into two levels, and the accuracy of the first-level gloss meter is higher than that of the second level.
