The salt spray test machine is one of the "three defenses" (humidity, heat, salt spray, mold) testing equipment. Let me introduce to you how to use the salt spray test machine:
1. Please connect the salt spray tester power supply and the air compressor power supply first, and connect the air compressor air pipe.
2. Add pure water or distilled water to the water inlet inside and behind the box until the low water level light on the panel is turned off, otherwise the normal operation will not be possible.
3. The drain pipe and exhaust pipe are connected. As shown on the previous page, the indicator is open to the left.
4. Add water to the insulation sink to the pad position to prevent salt spray from leaking.
5. Method for preparing test solution:
A. Cover layer, neutral salt spray test (NSS test)
a. The salt solution is prepared with sodium chloride (chemically pure, analytical pure) and distilled water or deionized water, and its concentration is (5%±0.1) (mass percentage). The atomized collection liquid shall not be reused except for the baffle blocking part;
b. The pH value of the salt solution before atomization is between 6.5 and 7.2 (35±2°C). When preparing salt solutions, chemically pure dilute hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide solution can be used to adjust the pH value, but the concentration must still comply with the provisions of point a.
B. Metal cover layer, copper accelerated acetate spray test (CASS test)
a. Dissolve sodium chloride in distilled water or deionized water, and its concentration is 50±5g/L.
b. Add copper chloride (CuCl2・2H2O) to solution a, and its concentration is 0.26±0.02g/L (i.e. 0.205±0.015g/L anhydrous copper chloride).
c. Add an appropriate amount of glacial acetic acid to solution a to ensure that the pH of the salt spray collection solution in the test chamber is 3.1 to 3.3. If the pH value of the solution before spraying is 3.0 to 3.1, the pH value of the collection solution is generally within the range of 3.1 to 3.3. To measure the pH value of the solution with an acid meter, you can also use precision pH test strips that can read out 0.1 pH value changes by the acid meter as daily detection. The pH of the solution can be adjusted by glacial acetic acid or sodium hydroxide.
d. To avoid nozzle clogging, the solution must be filtered before use.
Note: Metal cover, acetate spray test (ASS test) omits step "b" during the "B" process.
6. Pour the salt water into the salt solution replenishment bottle, that is, automatically fill the salt water and enter the spray tower in the laboratory, so that the potion flows to the salt water spray tower.
7. Add water to the wet bulb cup, cover the gauze with the wet bulb thermometer, and place the end of the gauze in the wet bulb cup.
8. Place the test piece or sample on the shelf: The arrangement angle is arranged according to the required standards. For example, the standard test piece 130×70 (mm) can be placed obliquely at 15 degrees and 30 degrees.
9. Set the test temperature: Set according to the required standards (button "▲" is increased, and button "" is decreased)
a.NSS and AASS test: The test chamber temperature is 35℃; the saturated air barrel temperature is 37℃ (35℃~40℃).
b.CASS test: The test chamber temperature is 50℃; the saturated air barrel temperature is 55℃ (50℃~55℃).
10. Set the test time: 0~999Hr (H: when; the button "+" is increased; the button "-" is decreased)
11. Press the power supply of the salt spray tester, operate the button, pre-temperature first, and reach the set temperature. Note: The test cover must be covered and placed carefully to avoid damage.
12. Press the spray button:
a. Open the air outlet valve in front of the air compressor and adjust the pressure to 0.2~0.4MPa primary pressure;
b. Adjust the pressure regulator to a pressure of 0.07~0.17MPa, and its pressure can be seen from the pressure gauge (increases clockwise and decreases counterclockwise).
13. Press the timing button to count according to the set time.
14. After the test is completed, turn off the switches of the salt spray test machine in sequence.
15. If there are any abnormalities in the test, please refer to the functional abnormality judgment table for processing.
