Things to note when using and maintaining a universal test machine

In the laboratory of large steel enterprises and quality inspection units, electro-hydraulic servo universal testing machines are often operated at high loads, while most testers lack experience in the maintenance of the instrument, so problems often arise. Some users even complain that there are problems with the instrument. In fact, this is not the case. The electrophoretic servo universal testing machine is a high-precision instrument that combines optical, mechanical and electrical power. As long as we master some skills to use it, it is enough.

We can explain it with ten points:

1. Use a suitable fixture to complete the corresponding test, otherwise the test will not only not be ideal, but also damage the fixture:

If you want to make non-standard samples, such as steel strands, overlapping steel fines, etc., you must add corresponding fixtures, and some super hardness materials, such as spring steel, etc., you must use special material clips, otherwise the fixtures will be damaged.

2. Cleaning and cleaning:

During the test, some dust will inevitably be produced, such as oxide scales, metal debris, etc. If it is not cleaned in time, it will not cause wear and scratches on the surface of certain parts. What is more serious is that if these dust enters the hydraulic system of the electro-hydraulic servo universal test machine, it will cause very serious consequences such as blocking the valve hole and scratching the piston surface. Therefore, it is very necessary to clean it after each use.

3. Hydraulic oil: The fluid level of the oil tank must be checked frequently and replenished oil in time:

Generally, oil must be changed every 2000 to 4000 hours of use, and it is necessary to note that the oil temperature must not exceed 70 degrees. When the oil temperature exceeds 60 degrees, the cooling system must be turned on.

4. Regular inspection of components:

All pressure control valves, pump regulators, and signal devices such as pressure relays, flow control valves, stroke switches, thermal relays, etc. must be checked regularly.

5. Filter:

For filters without clogging indicators, they usually need to be replaced every 6 months. For filters with clogging indicators, they must be monitored continuously and must be replaced immediately after the indicator alarms.

6. Cooler:

If water-cooled, you should regularly observe whether the cooling steel pipe is cracked and leaked. If air-cooled cooler is used, you should regularly clean the scale.

7. Energy accumulator

Some electro-hydraulic servo universal testing machines are equipped with energy accumulators, so the pressure of the accumulator must be ensured to be in a normal working state. If the pressure is not enough, the pressure needs to be replenished immediately. Only nitrogen is allowed to be charged to the accumulator.

8. The fasteners must be locked regularly:

The vibration after the sample is broken often causes some fasteners to loosen. It is necessary to check regularly (about 30 working days for normal use) to avoid large losses caused by loose fasteners.

9. The lead screw and transmission parts should be regularly coated with lubricating oil:

Prevent dry friction.
