Detailed introduction to M-BUS system

M-BUS is a master-slave, half-duplex bus system. M-BUS consists of a host (such as PC and level converter), some slaves (such as ultrasonic heat meter, electricity meter, water meter) and 2-wire cables, as shown in Figure 2. The communication process is completely controlled by the master, and the slaves are connected to the cable in parallel. The M-BUS bus adopts an asynchronous serial communication protocol and adopts a master-to-slave structure, with a baud rate of 300-9600B/s, and the slaves cannot communicate with each other. The advantage of the M-Bus system is that the communication system does not need to consume the power of the calorimeter battery, and the communication power consumption is provided by the host. This ensures that the service life of the thermal meter battery is not affected by data communication. In addition, the use of the M-Bus bus system can save wires and reduce wiring costs to a certain extent. At the same time, the M-Bus system has flexible and diverse wiring methods, and can adopt various topological structures such as bus type, star shape, and ring shape to adapt to the complex installation environment on site.
The transmission distance of the M-BUS system is 1000 meters. The Yibang M-Bus collector can be installed in the community (as shown in the figure below), and an M-Bus bus system centered on the Yibang Technology collector can be established in the community. If the community is large, one collector can be installed in each building, or several buildings can share one collector. The collector communicates with the main station computer, and its communication method uses China Mobile's GPRS wireless network. By using this communication method, the main station computer can be located in a community heat exchange station or a thermal power company. The Yibang Technology M-Bus collector is installed in a residential building. You can choose to be equipped with a Yibang Technology M-Bus collector for each unit or building. The collector is connected to the main computer of the heating company through the Yibang Technology GPRS DTU. The calories on each floor are connected by an M-BUS bus. There are six channels of M-BUS, each channel can transmit 60 calories data. In theory, one M-BUS can transmit 300 user data.
