The electronic universal testing machine is a new mechanical testing machine that uses various sensors to detect force and deformation and is controlled by a microcomputer. Thanks to the use of advanced measurement and control technologies such as sensing technology, automated detection and microcomputer control, it can not only complete routine tests such as tensile, compression, bending, and shear, but also conduct research on the fracture performance of materials and complete a series of static and dynamic mechanical performance tests such as load or deformation cycle, constant loading rate, constant deformation rate, creep, relaxation and strain fatigue. In addition, it also has the characteristics of high measurement accuracy, simple loading control, wide test range, and provides a good human-computer interactive interface, preset and monitor the entire test process, directly provide test analysis results and test reports, test data and test process reproduction, etc.
1. Working principle
After the test system is turned on, the microcomputer issues a cross beam movement command according to the value set before the test. This command rotates through the servo motor inside the main body of the electro-hydraulic servo universal test machine, and then drives the left and right screws to rotate through the speed reduction mechanism such as belts and gears. The cross beam is driven to rise or fall by the nut meshing with it in the movable cross beam. After installing the sample, the tester can obtain the corresponding signal through load, strain and displacement sensors. After amplification, the signal is collected and converted through A/D, and the data is transferred to the microcomputer. On the one hand, the digitally explicit electronic universal test machine processes the data and reflects it on the microcomputer display in graphics and numerical form; on the other hand, the processed signal is compared with the initial set value, the beam movement is adjusted to change the output, and the adjusted output is transmitted to the servo control system, so as to achieve high control needs such as constant rate, constant strain, and constant stress.
2. Operation method
Since the electronic universal testing machine adopts fully digital control technology, its working process is realized through software operations. The following is a description of the operation method based on the commonly used Merlin software.
1. Turn the power supply of the host, controller, and computer system in turn, and generally require preheating for a while.
2. Click the Merlin icon on the computer desktop to open the software and enter the test method mode. If the test method has been compiled before, you can click directly to enter; if there is no, you can click Merlin below to find the appropriate test method.
3. After selecting the desired test method, enter the relevant test parameters, such as: loading rate, sample size, data acquisition mode and required test results, etc., and store the method.
4. Install the sample and check whether the upper and lower limit protection of the equipment is set correctly.
5. Start the test and observe carefully. If an accident occurs, terminate the test immediately.
6. After the test is completed, store the test data, provide the test analysis results or print the test report as needed.
7. Return the beam of the host to position to avoid the software being unable to connect to the host during subsequent tests.
8. After the experiment is completed, turn off the Merlin software, turn off the computer system, turn off the controller, turn off the host power, and cut off the main power.
9. Clean the host and fill in the equipment usage records.
