Benefiting from the 12th Five-Year Plan for various related industries in the country, my country's industries such as instruments and instruments have undoubtedly ushered in historical development opportunities. These include the country's strong support for new energy. For example, during the 2012 Two Sessions, Premier Wen Jiabao clearly pointed out his strong support for new energy in his government report, and the recent plans for new energy during the "12th Five-Year Plan" launched by various places in Beijing and Shanghai; the catalog of major key environmental protection equipment announced in the "12th Five-Year Plan" and the handling of environmental problems in municipal construction, and the energy conservation and emission reduction indicator requirements for high-energy-consuming enterprises such as steel and power plants. Among them, PM2.5 is included in the environmental air quality standard, bringing nearly billions of business opportunities to the environmental protection instrument industry.

From the above series of actions, we can analyze that in the future, my country's instrumentation industry will gradually penetrate low-carbon and energy-saving application industries, and there is great potential in these industries. However, in recent years, although my country's electronic universal testing machine industry has developed in the long term, whether it can handle this important task has become an anxiety issue for many industry experts. For example, a few days ago, Wen Xiangcai, chairman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League and a researcher at the China Environmental Monitoring Station, said in an interview, "According to estimates, the total value of equipment required for the entire nationwide monitoring network is estimated to be nearly 2.8 billion yuan. However, judging from the current development level of China's environmental protection industry, there are not many domestic products that meet the usage standards and requirements. This means that once the construction of the monitoring network is launched, 70% of the investment of 2.8 billion yuan may flow into the bag of foreign instrument manufacturers."

According to data released by the China Instrument Industry Association, environmental equipment and instruments are just the tip of the iceberg of the fragile Chinese Instrument Industry Industry Chain. Although the data released in the Instrument Operation Express pointed out that the increase in imported instruments in the three months of 2011 decreased a bit, it still reached US$35 billion for the whole year, while my country's exports of instruments and instruments only reached about 18 billion.

With Premier Wen Jiabao proposing a GDP growth rate of 7.5% and shifting China's development speed to growth quality, China's economic structure and development direction will foreseeably undergo far-reaching changes in the next few years. However, Chinese instrumentation companies are still facing many problems. Especially small and medium-sized enterprises, small scale, weak market power, few financing channels, insufficient talent reserves, and lack of information resources all limit their development. There is still a long way to go to the industry to keep pace with transformation, how to seize these huge development opportunities, and how to compete with foreign instrument peers.
