The 21st Middle East Experimental Instrument and Analytical and Testing Equipment Expo (ARABLAB2013) was held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center on March 10. According to statistics from the Instrument Information Network, there were 86 exhibitors of universal testing machines and other instruments registered in mainland China in this exhibition, and the number of domestic exhibitors has increased by nearly 1.5 times since 2008. Mainland instrument companies such as Shanghai Instrument and Electrical, Puyuan Jingdian, Beijing Jitian, Junyi Oriental, Jinan Hengsi Shanda, and Dalong Instrument participated in the exhibition.
I believe that one of the important ways for Chinese instrument enterprises to develop at present is to export to countries such as the Middle East and Southeast Asia. "A person in the field of scientific instruments said that the demand for scientific instrument procurement in these areas is growing and the purchasing capacity is limited, which is suitable for domestic instrument sales to these areas.
The Instrument Information Network also found that among the exhibitors, many companies with registered locations in mainland China are actually branches or offices of multinational companies in China. From this, it is judged that mainland China is being chosen by more and more multinational companies as the control high point of the Asian market.
According to the information on the official website of ARABLAB2013, it is an exhibition of experimental instruments and testing equipment in the Middle East and North Africa. ARABLAB provides a professional technology and trade platform for analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, life science and other related industries. It is a place for many international corporate senior management and terminal buyers to find global procurement sources. It is regarded as a procurement "window" for buyers in growth markets such as the Middle East and Africa, the Indian subcontinent, China and Asia.
But obviously, when domestic instrument procurement in China is already relatively convenient, the purpose of domestic production companies to travel to Dubai is to develop markets such as the Middle East.
The exhibition lasts for 4 days. According to the official website of ARABLAB, more than 750 instrument and equipment companies participated in the exhibition in ARABLAB 2013, from 40 countries including Germany (151), the United States (116), the United Kingdom (101), mainland China (86), India (39), Italy (34), etc., and attracted more than 10,000 visitors from 95 countries around the world.
Not only domestic scientific instrument companies are eyeing this market, European and American instrument companies such as Thermo Fisher Technology and ABSciex are also coming, and even Agilent and PerkinElmer, who have missed Pittcon many times, are actively participating in the exhibition (ARABLAB2013 exhibitor list). As a country with a large number of exhibitors in the Asia-Pacific region, imagine that the dispute between domestic production and imports in China may become a dispute between "Made in China" and "Made in Europe and the United States" in the Middle East in the next few years.
