2. Operation process of electric pencil hardness meter

1. Preparation: Use a pencil sharpener to pin the pencil until the lead core is exposed 3-5mm (do not loosen or scratch the refill core), hold the refill core so that it is at an angle of 90° with the "400# sandpaper" surface, and constantly draw circles on the sandpaper to rub the end surface until the lead core with a flat end surface and sharp edge (the edge must not be broken or notched). The pencil should be rotated 180° before use after each use, or re-grinding it before use.

2. Operation: Place the instrument on a flat workbench, paste double-sided adhesive with appropriate size according to the size of the lens to be measured, and adhere the coated lens to be tested face up to the double-sided adhesive and fix it. Insert the sharpened pencil into the hole of the instrument body, so that one edge of the refill core is close to the surface of the object to be measured, and tighten the screws to clamp the pencil. Adjust the horizontal weight to zero load on the sample surface, and then add 1 kg of weight.

3. After placing the lens and weights, adjust the movement rate to 5mm/s. According to the position, select the move button to the left or right. Start with the hardest pencil, each level of pencil plows 30mm long traces, one round and a time. Until you find the pencil that does not hurt the coating, the hardness of this pencil represents the pencil being measured, and the hardness of this pencil represents the pencil being measured.
