The selection of universal testing machines should be considered in combination with various factors, the most important of which include: selection of fuselage speed and height, selection of model and selection of strain measurement:
1. Selection of speed and height of the universal test machine:
Understand the test space required for the test. The beam displacement and vertical test space required for the test are generally sufficient. The beam displacement 898mm and the vertical test space 1067mm are generally sufficient. If it is an elastomer test, the beam displacement and vertical test space will be higher. Therefore, there should be ultra-wide racks or ultra-high racks to meet the needs of different customers.
2. Selection of universal testing machine models:
First, determine the maximum force value required to test. The maximum force value is below 5KN. Generally, a single column universal testing machine is used. For double-column desktop electronic universal material testing machine, which is larger than 5KN to 50KN, is generally used. Above 50KN, floor-standing tens of thousandsableTest machine. The design of the rack should be combined with ergonomics to ensure safety, reduce operator fatigue and provide flexibility.
3. Selection of strain measurement:
Any mechanical system will deform after being subjected to stress, no matter how slight it is. The same applies to material testing systems. The racks, load sensors and fixtures of your system are not infinitely rigid and will have a slight deformation when force is applied to the specimen. This deformation is called flexibility and can lead to severe errors in the test results, especially in high load tests with small stroke requirements. Therefore, all frames must include very strong beam guides in terms of design, providing beam stiffness, high-rigid load sensors and fixtures to ensure maximum accuracy of test results. When extremely accurate measurements of sample deformation are required, the use of an extensometer can completely avoid system flexibility errors.
