How to check the quality of lubricating oil in hydraulic universal testing machine:

We all know that lubricating oil is a lubricating product commonly used on various mechanical equipment and accessories (of course, hydraulic universal testing machines, electronic universal testing machines and other testing equipment are no exception). It is used to reduce friction and plays a protective role in anti-rust and cleaning of the equipment. Also, lubricating oil is an indispensable protective object on hydraulic universal testing machines. (1) Appearance (color) The color of the oil product can often reflect its degree of refinement and stability.

For base oils, the higher the degree of refining, the cleaner the oxides and sulfides of their hydrocarbons are removed, and the lighter the color. However, even if the refining conditions are the same, the color and transparency of the base oil produced by crude oil from different oil sources and base genes may be different (semi-automatic impact testing machine). For new finished lubricants, due to the use of additives, color has lost its original meaning as an indicator to judge the degree of refining base oil.

(2) Viscosity and viscosity reflects the internal friction of the oil product and is an indicator that indicates the oil quality and fluidity of the oil product.

Without adding any functional additives, the greater the viscosity, the higher the strength of the oil film and the worse the fluidity.

(3) Viscosity index The viscosity index represents the degree to which the viscosity of the oil product changes with temperature.

The higher the viscosity index, the less the viscosity of the oil is affected by temperature, the better its viscosity and vice versa.

(4) Density density is a simple and commonly used physical performance indicator for lubricating oil.

The density of the lubricant oil of the hydraulic universal test machine increases with the increase of the amount of carbon, oxygen and sulfur in its composition. Therefore, under the same viscosity or the same relative molecular mass, the density of lubricant oil with a lot of aromatic hydrocarbons, the density of gum and asphaltene is large, the concentration of cycloalkanes is large, and the concentration of alkanes is small.
