What is an extensogram? Extensometers are sensors that sense deformation of the specimen. It is mainly used in tests with less denaturation of the sample, such as determining the elastic modulus of the material and specifying non-proportional extension strength. It can be used in testing equipment such as electronic universal testing machines, hydraulic universal testing machines, microcomputer-controlled woven bag tensile testing machines. So how to use an extensometer? This article will explain it to youHow to use an extensometer, hope it will help you.

The method of using the extensometer has summarized 6 operating steps, which are as follows:

1. Gently pick up the extensometer, snap the gauge rod gasket between the force arm and gauge rod, press the two force arms, so that the two blades are vertically in contact with the sample (for CSS2210, first insert the positioning slightly into the positioning hole)

2. Use a spring or rubber band to tie the extensometer to the sample. After installing it, take out the gauge rod gasket to keep the distance between the force arm and the gauge rod at about 0.5mm.

3. In the testing machine control software interface, select the WDW100 deformation measurement method (select load-deformation curve for CSS2210)

4. Extensometer signal display zero adjustment

5. Select the amplifier attenuation gear according to the measured deformation size

6. When the deformation reaches the extensometer switching point set in the test plan, that is, when the material reaches the yield limit, there is a prompt in the program window that the extensometer should be removed quickly. (For CSS2210 with an extensometer, remove and position it slightly)
