Yesterday, a customer came to Ji and visited our factory to inspect the hydraulic universal testing machine. He accidentally lost his ID card. Although he returned successfully with the help of colleagues in the company's security department and handled related matters in a timely manner, it still caused some inconvenience in the middle. After checking the Internet, he found that the risk of losing his ID card was really great. Here is an excerpt for reference only.
Working girl Lin Beixin and "bandit leader" Lin Beixin, these two originally irrelevant identities are closely linked by an ID card lost in 2007. On July 16 this year, when Lin Beixin was arrested by Guangzhou police, she did not know that she had been wanted by Yiwu police for two years on suspicion of theft.
The nightmare began. Within 11 days, she was interrogated, detained, and transferred. Fear and helplessness once occupied her entire heart. Until he was acquitted and returned to his hometown in Lufeng, the shadows were lingering, and fear and anxiety rose in his heart from time to time. When mentioning this "mistake case", Lin Beixin said, "a big wound was cut in her heart."
"Who will be the next Lin Beixin?" Lin Beixin's experience made people who had lost their ID card a little panicked, fearing that one day they would be mistakenly arrested.
This concern is not unfounded. In the same July, there were three cases in Guangzhou.
On July 21, Xia Fei, who came to Guangzhou for vacation from Jiangsu, was detained by the Guangzhou Panyu police on the grounds that he "had committed theft in Panyu in March this year." The family suspected that Xia Fei had lost his ID card and caused the police to "catch the wrong person". After some "troublemaking", on August 3, after being detained in the detention center for 13 days, Xia Fei finally went home after completing the bail pending trial procedures. However, Xia Fei's criminal suspect has not been lifted. The Panyu District Public Security Bureau requires that Xia Fei not leave Guangzhou and will go to the pre-examination brigade of the branch for investigation on November 3 this year and February 3 next year.
On July 27, Wang Chengjiao, who worked in Zhongshan, became a "wanted criminal" and was detained by the police due to the history of his ID card. After investigation by the police in Guzhen County, Anhui Province, where the case was filed, her criminal suspect was ruled out. After six days of detention, Wang Chengjiao was released. Anhui police apologized to Wang Chengjiao and explained that it was not only because the fraud suspect stole Wang Chengjiao's ID card, but also because the suspect looked very similar to her and could not be identified when the victim identified it.
Anhui farmer Zheng Guanqun is far from lucky enough to "Lin Beixins". Four years ago, Zheng Guanqun learned that a drug dealer sentenced to life imprisonment used his identity information. During this period, he was searched and taken away by the public security organs many times. In April this year, Zheng Guanqun was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Guangzhou Intermediate People's Court. Fortunately, after confirming that Zheng Guanqun was impersonated, the public security organs have removed his ID card information from the suspect database.
There are also Jia Rungen, Wu Jianwei, Chen Xiaoru... After searching online, there are many "mistakes" caused by the loss or theft of ID cards, and this is just a case that has been found in the newspapers.
Lin Beixin's lawyer Wen Xiaobing told reporters that online wanted to bring great convenience to the public security organs to solve cases, but it is also prone to abuse due to imprudentness and lack of restrictions, which infringes on citizens' rights. "In practice, some public security organs have the concept of 'being arrested', which is a very ruthless and irresponsible attitude."
According to media reports, it is estimated that more than 1 million people lost their ID cards every year in the country. "However, due to the current permission settings of the public security information system, it is difficult for ordinary police to find records of citizens' lost ID cards. Even if they are inquired, the procedures are relatively complicated." Fu Yang (pseudonym), a police officer in Beijing, told reporters that in other words, the lost ID card cannot be automatically invalidated like a lost bank card. It is likely to become an irregular time bomb and exist somewhere, and it will suddenly detonate.
