1. Structure and test principle of hammering Brinell hardness meter
The improved hammering Brinell hardness meter uses shear pin structure to replace the original standard bar structure. It uses shear pins of known hardness to control the force applied to the workpiece to be measured, so that the force applied to the part to be measured is a known value. In this way, the indentation diameter can be measured directly using the principle of Brinell hardness detection to calculate the Brinell hardness value of the workpiece.
The shear pin is placed in the horizontal hole of the pin frame, and the pressure head spherical surface is pushed outward into the vertical hole of the shear pin frame from the lower part, and in contact with the shear pin. The shear pin holder is placed in the impact sleeve.
When a test force is applied to the shear pin holder, the test force is transferred to the press head through the shear pin, which presses the press head onto the surface of the sample. When the test force reaches the rated cutting force of the shear pin 1580 kg, the shear pin is cut by the shear system composed of the shear pin frame and the indenter. The indenter head is retreated into the vertical hole of the shear pin frame and penetrates deep. The force process ends instantly. At this time, a circular indentation is pressed out on the sample, and the indentation diameter is read out with a reading microscope. After checking the table, the sample's accurate Brinell hardness value can be obtained.
2. How to use the scissor pin hammering Brinell hardness meter
1. Before testing, the surface of the test part of the workpiece to be tested should be removed from corrosion, scale, etc. If necessary, the surface of the workpiece being tested must be polished to ensure that the indentation is clearly visible after inspection.
2. Insert the shear pin into the transverse hole of the shear pin holder.
3. Place the shear pin holder into the sleeve.
4. Put the support handle on the sample to be tested and put the sleeve into the support handle to make the bottom surface of the sleeve completely come into contact with the sample.
5. Use a 3-pound hammer to hit the top of the probe, the tapping force should be enough to completely disconnect the shear pin.
6. Remove the broken shear pin (Note: If the shear pin is not completely broken, the measurement will fail. A new shear pin needs to be replaced to test another part of the workpiece to be tested).
