Li Huaxuan proposed that Italy, the United States, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and France, which have high-tech operations, can be called lock-making powers, and their technical level and craftsmanship level occupies a position. The world-famous brand locks come from these countries, but with the increasing labor force of these developed countries, by the 1970s, low-end lock production centers gradually moved to the four Asian dragons and made great progress. By the early 1990s, the labor costs of the four Asian dragons had risen, their competitive advantages declined, and the global lock market was gradually declining. At this time, Chinese lock manufacturers seized this opportunity and mass production. By 1992, my country's total lock production reached 1.05 billion and exported more than 200 million, gradually becoming a major lock producer. However, so far, China's lock industry is only a growing market. According to relevant media surveys, preliminary conclusions are that Chinese lock-making enterprises are unevenly distributed across the country, with prominent cluster phenomena; disorderly competition and extremely low profits, which seriously interferes with the development of the entire industry.

Speaking of the development of China's lock-making industry, Li Huaxuan pointed out that China's lock-making industry should have an overall organizational goal, and scientific and technological progress can only improve stably year by year, such as product structure, product quality, technical equipment, innovation capabilities, talent structure, etc., are indispensable. He believes that locks are necessities in people's lives and are daily hardware. At the same time, they are also a type of safety prevention product. The good or bad development of this industry is related to the safety of every family, unit, and public place. With the increasing competition in the international market today, if China's locks are still without innovation and stopping, they will inevitably be eliminated by the international market.

So, how can we adjust the direction and focus of the entire lock-making industry structure? In response to the author's question, Li Huaxuan pointed out from a professional perspective that he should work hard on product structure:
1. Product structure: Lock making companies should actively adopt new materials, pay attention to product modeling and artistic decorativeness, and gradually use advanced technologies such as computer electronics, information, biometrics, and nanomaterials to graft the traditional lock making industry, strive to develop new products with market prospects, and make breakthroughs in their use performance. Such as the residential middle-interceptor door lock series, automobile lock series, civil lock series, anti-theft door lock series, rolling code remote control series, mechatronic integrated IC card smart lock, TM card lock, firing lock series, biometric feature lock series, etc., they can all be reformed in process and technology innovation and gradually mature.

2. Product technology and equipment structure. In this concept, enterprises should first introduce pincer equipment with an accuracy of less than 0.01mm, key tooth processing equipment with an accuracy of less than 0.02mm, advanced processing molds and tools; and focus on large enterprises that hold door locks and vehicle locks to introduce automatic assembly production lines, CNC machine tools, automatic polishing machines, fully automatic continuous stamping production lines, automatic die-casting production lines, etc. in Germany, Italy, Taiwan and other countries and regions. Wenzhou Qiangqiang Group, like China's "Top Ten Lock Kings", has introduced a complete set of lock equipment from South Korea. Li Huaxuan believes that while developing the lock making industry, relevant hardware departments should pay attention to the construction of professional supporting factories such as foundries, mold factories, electroplating factories, and heat treatment, so that these supporting factories can better serve lock companies and improve the lock making level in the lock making industry.

Secondly, the quality problems of lock products are mainly concentrated in the problems of insufficient product processing accuracy, poor parts matching, rough appearance, low durability, and high mutual opening rate. Therefore, inspection and testing equipment (such as tensile testing machines, lock durability testers, key static force testers, coating wear-resistant testing equipment, and density, firmness, flexibility testing and testing equipment) in these aspects, and strengthen industrial and quality management.

In terms of industry structure, Li Huaxuan believes that the Hardware Association and the National Lock Market Survey Industry Standard Office should encourage enterprises with a certain foundation and scale to attract foreign capital, introduce foreign talents, and accelerate technology introduction and technological transformation; encourage asset restructuring, take the path of joint mergers, expand the scale of enterprises, increase corporate strength, and gradually form large enterprise groups led by famous and high-quality products. Actively support some small and medium-sized enterprises with good product quality and market competitiveness, so that the lock industry can become a complete production system with large and small scales led by large enterprises and large groups and small and medium-sized enterprises.

During the interview, Li Huaxuan comprehensively explained the advantages and shortcomings of China's locks. He believes that China is a country with a rich talent resources; in this regard, other countries cannot compare; how to make China's locks face the international market and how to achieve the grand goal of "a strong lock-making country", I personally believe that in industry associations, the strong support and comprehensive supervision of the National Lock Market Survey Industry Standard Office is not enough. This requires a deep understanding and improvement of the lock-making enterprise itself in the four major structures. Therefore, the development of China's lock-making industry will inevitably occupy a place in the international market.

It also mentioned that the lock-making industry should implement a series of engineering and technology transformations, further improve internal management, and strengthen corporate product brand and corporate image publicity.
